Attendance is not compulsory, although highly recommended. Those
students who will attend classes do have the opportunity to take part in
the seminars. They will be asked to produce a short essay (5000 words +
bibliography) for class discussion.
In order to be considered attending students it is necessary to take at
least 75% of the course hours (i.e. 30 hours out of 40). The short essay is
due in the second week of January 2025.
Non-attending students are requested to get in touch with the instructor so as to define a
specific study program.

Generative AI policy
The use and abuse of generative AI tools will be discussed with students through the course, based on the principle of ‘responsible and transparent use’. The instructor will clarify whether and how students are allowed or not to use this kind of tools for each of the assigned tasks, and – in case – how they should acknowledge it.
